The authority and inerrancy of Scripture.
The Triune Godhead of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
The virgin birth and hypostatic union of Jesus Christ as being fully God and fully human.
The total depravity of humanity, being spiritually lost.
The substitutionary atonement and bodily resurrection of Christ.
Salvation by grace through faith in Christ alone.
The physical, premillennial return of Jesus Christ to establish His kingdom on Earth.
Our simultaneously righteous and merciful Creator, in due time, according to His eternal purpose, revealed the mystery of God to those who will accept it. According to His threefold plan, ordained before creation, our holy God would:
1) Create a family in His likeness;
2) Forever destroy sin and death;
3) Make His splendor apparent to all by revealing His many glorious attributes such as justice, mercy, wisdom, holiness, long-suffering, grace, goodness, faithfulness, righteousness, sovereignty, and love. Thus, the mystery of God’s eternal plan:
In Love, God created humanity, male and female, in His likeness.
In Holiness, God warned them not to disobey, or they would die; for He, being holy, cannot abide the ungodliness of disobedience.
In Wisdom, God allowed them to exercise their free will, to choose obedience or rebellion.
In Holiness, once they had chosen to rebel, their personal relationship with God was severed.
In Justice, God sentenced them to death. At this point, God could have ended the entire race, but His plan was not complete.
In Mercy, God prepared a path of redemption for those created in His likeness.
In Love, God determined that He Himself would provide for mankind’s redemption.
In the fullness of time, according to His eternal plan, God Himself was born into humanity and lived a sinless life as both Son of God and Son of Man. As a sinless man, He was qualified to be the sacrificed in our stead, so that He Himself suffered the punishment of death that His justice demands.
In Power, He resurrected to life, thereby displaying His authority over life and death.
In Grace, God offers a free pardon and restoration to fellowship to all who place their trust in this redemption provided exclusively through the sacrificial death and glorious resurrection of our redeemer, Jesus Christ.
With Forbearance, through the ages, God has tolerated man’s evil ways, providing sustenance for the righteous and the rebels alike, as He patiently awaits in each generation those who will accept His pardon.
With Integrity, as warned from the beginning, God condemns to eternal death those who spurn His redemption, which was purchased at great cost, in which He Himself assumed humanity’s judicial punishment.
So it is that the Apostle Paul wrote,
"To me, the very least of all saints, has this grace been given to proclaim good news—the unsearchable wealth of Christ to the Gentiles and to enlighten all as to the stewardship of the mystery which has been hidden from the ages in God who created all things, so that hereafter the manifold wisdom of God shall be made known through the Lord’s Chosen Assembly to the principalities and powers in heavenly places, according to the purpose of the ages, which He accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord, in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through faith in Him" (Eph 3:8-12).
"Now, to the One who is able to establish you, according to my gospel and the proclamation of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery that has been kept in silence through the times of the ages; but now, also has been made manifest through prophetic Scriptures, according to the commandment of the eternal God, which has been made known to all the nations for the obedience of faith" (Ro 16:25-26).
To God be the Glory!
